It's a simple but powerful concept being applied to a wide variety of public health concerns by a diverse network of business and consumer groups, health advocacy organizations, and academic institutions including some of America's leading schools of public health – all dedicated to improving the health of Americans. The goal of the Healthy Monday campaign is to provide a framework for the delivery of innovative, evidence-based health campaigns aimed at reducing morbidity and mortality associated with the four leading causes of preventable disease in the United States: poor diet and inactivity, smoking, and alcohol misuse.
